About Us

Learning New Skills
In the Lynchburg area the Cardinal Lace Guild meets to study bobbin lacemaking and to develop increasing interest in bobbin lace.
The Cardinal Lace Guild has been a charter member of the International Organization of Lace, Inc. (IOLI) since January 1994. We are a also member of the North Carolina Regional Lacers (NCRL), and participate in their annual Lace Day.
A Teaching Guild
We welcome new people and have beginner kits available for members to use as they begin their lacemaking experience. The pillow kits are available on loan for six months for a deposit. This lets you try out bobbin lace making without having to invest in your own supplies right away.
Each person learns at their own pace through the mentorship of more experienced members. Club members create their own projects, which can be as simple or complex as they desire, and as their skills allow.

Meetings (When active - Guild is currently not meeting)
We currently meet once per month, typically on a Saturday, from 10AM to 2PM. Please use the contact page to write for more information on joining us!
